Are you slipping the first stitch of the row? If not, that would give you an extra stitch. Or are you starting the row with the right number of stitches? The stitch count won't change from row to row. If you're still having a problem with it, stop in and we'll look at it together. Hope that helps! She tried knitting it up but had a problem in row 3. She brought the project over to my friend's house to see if she could sort out what the problem was. My friend tried it and had the same problem.
