dagI just bought this pattern and am having a hard time with it. Can you tell me how many stitches I I should have after the set up row? I am coming up with 24 stitches. Then in reading 1/9 comment on stitch count where it doesn't change. I have 25 stitches on rows 1 & 3. In order to get to 2 stitches at the end, I needed to have 25 to begin with. Am I doing this pattern all wrong?

    TThanks!

It's hard to say why you're ending up with 3 stitches instead of 2 at the end of row 3. Are you slipping the first stitch of the row? If not, that would give you an extra stitch. Or are you starting the row with the right number of stitches? The stitch count won't change from row to row.

If you're still having a problem with it, stop in and we'll look at it together. Hope that helps!

Friend of a friend bought the yarn and received the pattern for this scarf. She tried knitting it up but had a problem in row 3. She brought the project over to my friend's house to see if she could sort out what the problem was. My friend tried it and had the same problem. She then brought it over to my house New Years Day and I tried it and also had the same problem -- row three seems to end up with 3 stitches and not two (as the pattern indicates). Has anyone else had this problem and are we doing someting wrong? If so and you can identify what we are doing wrong -- that would be great! Thanks for any help.

I was in the shop today and was telling Laura how much I liked the scarf--I had no idea the pattern came free with the purchase of 2 Malabrigo hanks, which I happened to purchase for another project... can I still get the pattern?!

You know, I didn't take to it at first, but I have to admit I like it a lot now.
