Kate’s Obstacle

Although Kate told me that she only recently started knitting lace, it’s hard to believe from all she’s knit. This one – the Obstacles Scarf – is one of my personal favorites, and no wonder, she knit it for her husband.

Kate's Obstacle

The yarn is Jade Sapphire’s 2-ply Cashmere. Each $35 hank weighs 55 grams and has approximately 400 yards of ultra-soft hand dyed cashmere – enough for a scarf or small shawl.

The Obstacles Scarf is designed by Ann Hanson of Knit Spot. I hadn’t heard of Ann before and I’m so glad that I have. Check out her gorgeous designs for shawls, socks, hats, and more. Oh, if only there was more time for knitting each day!

Fortunately for Kate’s husband, she found the time to knit him this luxurious scarf, which she says, will be waiting for him under the Christmas tree. Another beautiful project, Kate! Thanks for sharing it!

  1. Beautiful scarf. Did you use one skein or two?
