If you’ve been thinking about knitting your first sweater, now might be the time. The new session of our Top Down Baby Sweater class begins next Saturday, February 16. We’re knitting a baby sweater because it takes less time and less yarn, and you still learn the techniques you need to knit a sweater for yourself or anyone you like! And if you don’t have any little ones to give it to now, you’ll have a beautiful hand knit sweater the next time a friend has a baby.
This is the sweater we’re making. It’s the Baby Sweater by Knitting Pure & Simple (it also comes in child sizes if you have an intended recipient). It uses worsted weight yarn, which we can help you select when you register.
This is also a great class if you’ve never knit a sweater in the round. Once they learn it, many knitters say it’s their preferred method. It might become yours too!
