Julie’s Sweater for Emmett

Before Julie signed up for our Top Down Baby Sweater Class she asked if she’d be able to knit a larger size for her toddler. Since we use Knitting Pure & Simple’s patterns, which come in every size from newborn to men’s, the answer was yes!

As you can see, Julie finished. This is Emmett, obviously very happy to be wearing a hand knit sweater!

Julie knit with Mission Falls 1824 Wool yarn. It’s machine washable and comes in dozens of beautiful colors.

Machine washable yarn was a good choice, as Emmett went right for the sandbox!

This is the perfect everyday sweater for Emmett. It’s warm and durable – just what today’s active toddler needs! As he grows, Julie can knit this sweater again in different yarns and different colors, so it’s never the same sweater twice.
