Happy Hanukah and Merry Christmas!

by Craig on December 24, 2008

I celebrated Hanukah with my family on Sunday night. My nephews are too young to really understand what we’re celebrating, however the oldest, who’s two and a half, senses our excitement and happily joins in. We also celebrated his grandfather’s birthday that night; I think blowing out the candles was the highlight of his night.

Caleb

I took this photo of my youngest nephew, Caleb, with my camera phone while he was laying on my lap. At 10 weeks, of course he had no idea what we were doing, but he has such a look of joy on his face that I can’t help feeling the same way when I see this picture.

I hope you’re holiday celebrations are filled with this same sense of joy. Whatever the troubles of our daily lives and the world in general, time with family and friends is always special.

So that the Loop Staff and I can enjoy time with our families, we’ll be closed today and tomorrow. Have a happy Hanukah and a very Merry Christmas!

Love the photo – made me smile also. My first grandchild – David – was born this past August so Caleb and he are about the same age and both are just too cute.
Did you knit the hat Caleb is wearing and if so, can we have the details?
Best wishes for a Happy and Healthy New Year.
