Koigu Garter Stitch Scarf
In the hectic lead up to the holidays, one of the most relaxing projects I worked on was a garter stitch scarf in Koigu KPM yarn.
Koigu’s merino yarn feels wonderful in your hands. It’s soft and springy and has that fantastic twist. And I was constantly thrilled by the brilliant orange-red color with its subtle variations in saturation.
I used 3 hanks of Koigu KPM yarn and Addi Turbo 24″ size 4 circular needles. I cast on 40 stitches and knit every row until I had just enough yarn to bind off. For a cleaner edge, I slipped the first stitch of every row with the yarn held in the back. It’s simple, beautiful, and feels wonderful around your neck.
This one was a gift; now I’m tempted to make another for myself!
