Fun with Carol

We had a great time on Sunday at Carol’s booksigning. Carol’s husband and adorable kids were there, along with so many of her friends. And lots of Loop customers came to meet Carol, and we celebrated Knitting Socks with Handpainted Yarn. Thank you all for coming!

I surprised Carol by getting the socks from the book for everyone to see. Even with a book as well done as it is, seeing the socks in person is exciting. You get a much better appreciation of the designs and the yarns.

Carol’s much anticipated Black Bunny Fibers yarn was the hit of the day! From the moment it came out of the bags, people grabbed their favorites and held them tightly in their arms while they chatted.
If you weren’t able to come on Sunday, the good news is that we have more copies of Knitting Socks with Handpainted Yarn and more of Carol’s lovely yarns (with more to come as soon as Carol and I have a chance to talk!). The socks from the book are also still on display for at least another week or two.
All of the beautiful photographs in this post were taken by Carol’s son Elvis. For more photos and more about the booksigning, visit Carol’s blog.

Thanks again, Craig! I had a wonderful time. And your shop is gorgeous – full of temptation.
P.S. Not that I don’t love a good fried peanut-butter-and-banana sandwich, but some of your blogreaders who don’t know me might be interested to know that Elvis is his “nom de internet” and not his real name. (;
