Knit Yourself a Sweater!

I’ve been a fan of sweater knitting since I began knitting. I recently came across the first sweater I knit, and it brought back great memories of that time. I don’t wear it any more (I didn’t wear it much then to be honest; I chose a beautiful color yarn, not thinking that it was a color I wouldn’t want to wear) but I learned a lot making it and am glad to still have it.

This fall you can knit your first – or your most challenging – sweater and get lots of help in our Sweater Class. You can choose any pattern you like.

Knitting Pure & Simple sweater patterns are knit from the top down. There are pullovers and cardigans for kids, women, and men. These patterns work well for either a first sweater or a first top down sweater.

Blue Sky Alpaca’s Skinny Cardigan pattern makes a stylish striped cardigan. It’s knit with DK weight yarn, which you can wear year round.

The Candy Stripe Jacket has been one of this season’s most popular designs. Knit with Spud & Chloe Sweater yarn, it’s warm yet light-weight.

These are just of few of the projects you could choose for Sweater Class. We’re happy to help you find the one that’s right for you!

  1. I have that same pattern from Pure and Simple … haven’t got to it yet, been to busy knitting for others, love it, the style and color I chose. Hopefully I won’t have the same problem as you … want to wear it!
