I’m a big fan of mittens. I like to wear them because they’re warmer and more comfortable than gloves. I like to knit mittens because you can do so much with them. You can incorporate stitch patterns, lace, cables, colorwork – anything you like!

So I was pretty happy to see Linda’s Snowdrift Mittens appear in my inbox. She used a vintage pattern and updated it with Spud & Chloe Fine yarn’s bright mod colors. The pink and green really pop and bring the pattern to life.

Linda knit these for a swap (can you imagine receiving these in the mail?!) but she has yarn to knit herself a pair, too.
Thanks for sending us pictures of your beautiful mittens, Linda! So inspiring!

Linda! the mittens are beautiful! and the colors wonderful! I moved to Portland, OR recently and my knit friends all tell me that I’m going to want to have some brightly colored accessories later in the winter, due to the gloomy weather … these fit the bill! thanks for sharing!
