Learn Sweater Design with Shannon Okey!

I’m thrilled to welcome the lovely and multi-talented Shannon Okey to Loop for the first time on February 12, 2011. Shannon has worked in almost every aspect of the yarn industry – teacher, designer, magazine editor, and now, publisher. Her range of knowledge is vast – and she’s going to share what she knows about sweater design with us! This is a wonderful opportunity to start designing your own sweaters.

  1. I can’t wait to come back to Philadelphia and meet everyone!

  2. Hi my friends at Loop!
I was wondering if there would ever be a possibility that you would offer a class in the basics of knitting design? Is there such a thing? I would love to learn how to design my own hats, scarves, socks, etc.

Thanks for your time and good knitting times to you all!

  3. Mary, most of the design classes focus on sweaters, but maybe we’ll come up with some others. Meanwhile, you can use what you learn in a class like Shannon’s to design all sorts of knits.

  4. I’m really looking forward to this class. Can’t wait to learn from you, Shannon.
