One is the latest design by Erika Flory, a tiny cardigan for babies aged newborn to 3 months.

Erika named it One because it’s knit in one piece on one needle with one ball of Spud & Chloe Sweater yarn. Attach one button and you’re done!

Oh, and the pattern costs just $1.

One Baby CardiganOne knit with Spud & Chloe Sweater in Ice Cream.

Purchase your skein of Sweater yarn at Loop and the pattern is yours free. It’s a fantastic one day project!

I love this pattern! I have never attempted any garment really besides hats/scarves – the basics. I’m expecting a little girl in October, so I decided to try this sweater – I’m halfway done with my first try and this has been amazingly EASY and is turning out so cute! I bought the spud & chloe in jelly bean – a very cute bright pink. I can’t wait to get a button on it and send you guys a picture.

Kacey, I’m so glad to hear how much you’re enjoying knitting One! Can’t wait to see your finished sweater!

I’ve had yarn and pattern since the summer but just made it this weekend. Oh my goodness! It is so very cute and amazingly quick. Definitely last minute “doable.”. And the yarn is just lovely to touch and work with.

So glad you liked it, Kate! It’s definitely become the go-to gift for new babies.

I have made this sweater several times. I love it and so do the moms. Any plans to offer it in a larger size?

Yes, Erika has written the pattern for larger sizes! You can purchase it here:
