The Reflection Cowl is the project for our November Knitalong. Designed by Erika Flory, Reflection features a check pattern that switches colors midway so each half reflects the other. It’s knit entirely in the round – there’s no seaming! – and you’ll only knit with one color at a time – so no juggling yarns.
Since Reflection sits against your neck, Erika chose Lana Vida’s Hannah yarn. Hannah is a luxurious blend of fine merino, baby alpaca, and cashmere. It’s available in shades ranging from bright to deep to neutral with lots of gorgeous pairing options for Reflection. Erika chose to combine Rust and Natural. We liked the idea of using Natural with the other colors. Here they are so you can pick your favorite.

Reflection is knit with two hanks of Hannah, with which you’ll be able to knit either the short or long version (the long is shown in the photos above). As the yarn of the month, Hannah is 10% off, now through November 30, 2012. The Reflection Cowl pattern is free with your purchase of two hanks of Hannah. You can also purchase the pattern on Ravelry.
The knitalong begins on Thursday, November 1, 2012. If you’d like to participate, just leave a comment on the Knitalong thread in our Ravelry group. Everyone who posts a photograph of their finished cowl by the end of the month will be entered in a drawing to win a $20 gift certificate to Loop!
