Harley Mitts

Harley Mitts

Harley Mitts are reversible hand warmers knit with one of the softest yarns in the shop, Shibui’s Baby Alpaca DK. Knit in the round, except for the thumb opening, with an easy interrupted rib pattern, Harley has long smooth lines on one side (shown in bottom right photo above) and a fun, pebbly texture on the other (shown above left and top right). They’re perfect for wearing in a chilly office or while texting on the streets!

Harley is the project for February’s Knitalong; the free knitting pattern is below. They’re made with 1 skein of Baby Alpaca DK – which is 10% off through February 28, 2013 – and size 6 needles.

Shibui Baby Alpaca DK

Shibui used the finest baby alpaca for this 3-ply DK weight yarn; it’s almost as soft as cashmere! Baby Alpaca DK comes in lots of beautiful neutrals, rich jewel tones, and a few fabulously bright shades. It’s shown above in colors rust, graphite, watermelon, velvet, and lumen. Each 100 gram skein has 255 yards – plenty for a pair of mittens or hand warmers, a hat, or a cowl.

At 10% off, there’s no better time to try Baby Alpaca DK yarn!
