Mochimochi Land creator Anna Hrachovec will be here on Sunday, December 8. She’s teaching her Knit a Tiny Gnome class from 10am to 1pm and will be in the shop for a book signing and trunk show from 2 to 5pm.
Ann was inspired by Hello Kitty, Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, and Dr Seuss to create Mochimochi Land, a world of knitted toys that she’s shown in art galleries around the world. She’s published several knitting pattern books – Knitting Mochimochi, Super-Scary Mochimochi, and Teeny-Tiny Mochimochi – so that we can knit our own tiny creations!
In her latest book – Huge & Huggable Mochimochi – Anna has played with the scale of her work and created super-sized toys. She’ll have samples from the book for us to see.
