Loop’s Custom Tosh Color and the Rivulet Shawl

We love all things Madelinetosh and know you do too. One of our wishes for Loop in 2014 was to have our own custom color of Madelinetosh. We imagined a blue the color of water reflecting a tree lined river bank.

After a fun collaboration with the Tosh dyers and a careful final selection, we are pleased to introduce our official Loop color, Susquehanna!

We wanted to call our color a name with a little local flavor and the Susquehanna River fit the bill! This mighty river flows through South Central Pennsylvania, creating the border between York & Lancaster County, PA. Susquehanna means Oyster River in Lenape and I love oysters. Name picking done!

Reminiscent of rippling water, Susquehanna sparkles and shines in Tosh Merino Light’s stunning single ply construction. With signs of spring cropping up all around us, a wrap in Tosh Merino Light is just the right weight for the warmer days ahead!

Not only do we have our own Tosh color, but Loop staffer Erika Flory designed Rivulet, a special shawl just for Susquehanna.
Erika’s design echoes that feeling of winding waterways. It’s the perfect accessory for down the shore or up at the lake house. Knit neck down with a knitted on border, Rivulet is suitable for adventurous beginners.

Rivulet takes just 1 skein of Susquehanna! The pattern can be purchased here.
