Introducing Loop Studio Yarn!

Studio Colors

I am so pleased to introduce our first Loop yarn, Studio! We have long dreamed of creating our very own yarn especially for you, and we are so excited at its arrival.

Studio is soft, bouncy, and kettle-dyed in bright fun colors. We think you’re going to love it! Erika’s designed a fabulous 1-skein scarf that’s fun to knit and looks great on. Keep reading to find out how to get your free copy this October!

Studio Neutrals

Studio is an wildly soft merino wool spun into a bouncy 3-ply sport weight yarn. These substantial 350 yard skeins feel heavenly to knit and excellent to wear!

Use Studio for scarves and shawls, as it feels soft against your skin. Sweaters knit in Studio can be comfortably worn indoors and the lightweight fabric makes for easy layering. In fact, Studio is soft enough for a baby – and superwash too!

We’re also happy to tell you that Studio is American made. The fleece comes from American sheep and the yarn is spun and dyed right here in Pennsylvania. When you knit with Studio, you’ll know that you’re supporting American jobs!

Studio is available in 9 kettle-dyed colors – 3 grays, 3 blues, red, green, gold – and in natural. The shading from the dyeing process gives each piece life and movement. And the colors combine beautifully for multi-colored projects.

Portfolio Scarf

For an introduction to Studio, our own Erika Flory designed Portfolio – a 1 skein scarf featuring alternating sections of garter stitch and lace. The perfect length and width for wrapping and tucking into jackets, you’ll be wearing it inside and out all winter! We think it will make a great holiday gift too!

The pattern for Portfolio is free with your purchase of 1 skein of Studio yarn, now through October 31, 2014. The pattern is available for purchase individually too, by clicking here.

  1. Yay! How exciting, that you’ve developed your own yarn. It’s a great bonus, too, that it’s American made. I really like the colors – very versatile. Congratulations! I look forward to knitting with it.

  2. Thank you so much! I really hope you like it!

  3. Love love love this new yarn!! I’ll definitely be snagging a few skeins to make my boys their hats, mittens and scarves this year!

  4. Are you giving rainchecks for the yarn that has sold out that includes the scarf pattern? In other words, I realize the “expiration date” for the free pattern is Oct. 31, but there are slim choices with the yarn color. I’d like to order the yarn that includes the free pattern. Thank you!!!!
