Drea’s Shawl

Drea Shawl

We no longer carry the yarns we used in this project, however, Fiberstory’s Fave Yarn has gorgeous solids and variegated shades that would make a beautiful shawl with a similar effect.

Drea’s Shawl is a simple, garter stitch triangle. You’ll need 2 skeins of Fave Yarn to make it, one solid and one multi-colored.

48 inches across top, 22 inches down center

Main Color (MC) Madelinetosh Tosh Sock [100% superwash merino wool; 100g/395 yds]: 1 skein.
Contrast Color (CC) Koigu KPPPM [100% merino wool; 50g/175 yds]: 1 skein.

24-inch US5 (3.5mm) circular needle.

5 sts = 1 inch in garter stitch.

m1r make one right; lift the bar between the stitch you just knit and the next stitch on the left needle from the back and knit it.

CO 3 sts with MC.

Row 1: With MC, knit.
Row 2: With MC, k1, m1r, knit to end.
Row 3: With CC, knit.
Row 4: With CC, k1, m1r, knit to end.

Rep rows 1-4 until 135 sts on needle. Break CC yarn.

Cont with MC only, rep rows 1 & 2 until 175 sts on needle.

Bind off and weave in ends.
