Learn Macrame with The Forest Fern

Sara Banner is the owner and creator of The Forest Fern. She makes beautiful macrame plant hangers, wall hangings, and home goods, and on Saturday, April 29 she’ll be here to show you how to do it!

Sara’s beginner-level workshops are open to everyone – no experience required. The class fees include all materials, so there’s nothing to bring, and your finished piece to take home!

Macrame Plant Hanger Class with The Forest Fern

Come create your own macrame plant hanger!

Learn to combine basic macrame knots in different patterns to create you own beautiful modern plant hanger complete with a small potted plant. We will also learn a bit about houseplants including how to create your own potting mix to help keep your plants happy and healthy!

Your class fee includes all of the materials needed including macrame cord, brass hanging ring, small pot and potted plant.

Learn to make your own macrame wall hanging!

The art of modern macrame wall hangings is more than learning how to tie knots. During the class we will each create a large layered macrame wall hanging similar to the one pictured here. We will explore how to combine and arrange knots to create texture, pattern and layers while keeping the overall vision modern and simple.
