Fair Isle Yoked Sweater, March 27

Wednesday, March 27, April 3, 24 and May 1 from 6:00 to 7:30PM

Our Fair isle sweater class is the perfect introduction to the world of colorwork yoked sweater knitting! First you’ll choose your pattern: Strange Brew, Mountain Mist or Fern & Feather. Then, you’ll learn to knit a sweater from the top down. You’ll knit your colorwork yoke and then separate the sleeves and and body of the sweater and knit them. Weave in the ends and you’ve got yourself a new sweater!

Materials: If you’ve already taken the Strange Brew Cowl class and you want to use the same yarn, you’ve already knit your swatch! If not, here’s what you’ll need: Pattern for your selected sweater, enough DK weight yarn for the size you’re making, circular and double pointed needles in the sizes to get gauge, stitch holders or waste yarn, stitch markers, and tapestry needle.

Skill level: This class is for graduates of Knit 2 and those who are comfortable knitting and purling in the round.

Homework: Please come to the first class with your patter, yarn selected and your swatch knit. We’ll give you swatching instructions when you select your yarn.

Please read our class policy before registering. Feel free to call us at 215-893-9939 with any questions you might have about classes.
